The Essendon Grand Hotel is a classic Art Deco building which was closed in late 2004.
The front of this landmark building supported a dominant white neon sign with metal-trough lettering on the vertical fin which read "GRAND HOTEL".
The sign was removed in 2005 during a major redevelopment of the site.
