Building Description:
The cruciform Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Camberwell is one of the most spectacular suburban churches in Melbourne not built in the Gothic style.
The prominent copper-sheathed dome and cupola with a golden statue of the Virgin Mary gives this building a landmark quality. The exterior features rock-faced masonry which is produced from Waurn Ponds freestone. The entrance to the church is composed of three arches.
One cannot pass down Burke Road without noticing this spectacular building.
