This website was launched in 2000 and
substantially-revised in 2004 (with minor updates
since). In that time, it has grown to be one of the
world's most popular sources of digital information
about palaeobotany - or the science of plant evolution.
The site has been designed around the
popular Plant
Evolution Tour, where students can take a
step-by-step walk through the ages. Where possible,
images of significant fossils and plants have been
presented.
